DOES YOUR BUILDING, HOME, or BUSINESS GET TOO HOT AT CERTAIN TIMES OF THE DAY in the Summertime? Solar Heat Control window film is the answer.

Solar control window film provides you with an immediate and cost-effective solution to solar overheating in your building. By reducing the solar heat energy coming into your building or home through the glass window films make you more comfortable, can save you energy and can reduce your carbon footprint. Think about it…if you don’t let the heat in you don’t have to pump it out!

Pentagon Protection uses only the highest quality window films from some of the world’s leading manufacturer’s so that you get a film that looks good, performs well and lasts a long time.

If your building has air conditioning and a lot of glass, solar control window film is a huge energy saver that can massively reduce the costs involved with cooling your building while also reducing the wear and tear on your HVAC machinery.

If you don’t have air conditioning, solar control window film can make your home cooler and more comfortable while eliminating those pesky hot spots that occur when the sun is pouring through the glass. Solar Control and Energy Efficient Window Films from Pentagon Protection can help reduce energy costs, and the damaging effects of the sun.

But what is the right window film for your building and your situation? Selecting the correct solar control window film for the type of glazing is not always straightforward. As window film specialists with an understanding of glass, Pentagon will provide you with the right assistance and guidance to ensure the correct product is specified..

Want Carbon Reduction? Window film not only has a part to play in helping to shrink your carbon footprint but also in helping with the latest government mandatory emissions trading scheme, the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC).

The system works terrific and achieved a GSA Level 2. Notice at the peak of the blast that the alloy frame is actually flexing quite a bit, yet the film and the attachment continue to hold. In addition to the system working, it also looks fantastic and is less expensive than other attachment products.

When selling window film there are so many factors that you have to be aware of. Body language is one of these factors and is one of the most important things in a sale that you, the seller, need to be most aware of.

Body language changes with the situation. When you are giving a presentation, you are the one in control. Your body language should project a confident, professional image. Your posture and facial expressions show that you are handling the show.

The situation is different when you visit a client’s home of office. You are entering the client’s territory. This is heightened when you enter the inner sanctum of a home or office. The client is on home turf, and you are at a bit of a disadvantage because you don’t know the territory. Here are 7 tips to project confidence in the client’s territory:

1. If you arrive early and sit on the chairs or sofa in their living room or reception area, be sure to stand up when the client greets you and you shake hands. Sitting down may send a message of lack of respect. As well, you always want to be at eye level when shaking hands, so you can make eye contact.

2. Be careful where you stand. Standing too close to a client is too intimate, but standing too far away can be viewed as impersonal. The best distance in North America is between 2 and 4 feet away. In some cultures people stand closer, and in other cultures they stand farther away. Take your cues from your customer.

3. Never have a more relaxed posture than your client. Remember your posture, and don’t slump, especially when you sit down.

4. Be congruent. Make sure your body language and your words match.

5. In a client’s office the client’s desk is intimate territory. Don’t place any papers on it without asking permission, and don’t put your briefcase or handbag on it either.

6. Display active listening techniques, such as nodding in agreement or cocking your head to show you are listening.

7. Watch the buyer’s body language carefully. A buyer who adopts the steepling gesture (The act of putting your fingertips together, most likely to indicate thoughtfulness) may be coming to a decision. The gestures and comments the buyer made may indicate the decision the buyer is reaching.

So as you can see, we put a lot of thought into selling you our product. Body Language and Sales is an important part of the sale, as well as our client.

To many times would be thieves or rioters break into a house or business by breaking a window. This is the quickest way to gain access into your home or business.

The term, ‘Smash & Grab’ is a term used by law enforcement; this is where the would be thief breaks a store front window, runs in and grabs what they can from the store, and runs back out of the store leaving the store owner to suffer a great loss of product and income.

With Safety and Security films applied to your business or home, along with an attachment system, you have less of a chance that the thieves or rioters will get in. Having the film applied to windows keeps the window intact and makes it harder to break the window. Actually the window won’t break, it will just hold together no matter how many times you try to break it. You see thieves generally like to be able to have quick access. They don’t like to stick around trying to break in for long periods of time. This could result in them getting caught by law enforcement and that is the last thing that they want to do!

Here is an example of how 3M Safety & Security Films will keep a would be thief from breaking in:

Before you know it the Summer months will be upon us and the sun’s massive rays will be heating up you home, business, or commercial building again making it uncomfortable for you, your family, or your employees. Having Solar Control window films installed can help in quite a few ways that might of not even been aware of.

Here are some of those ways:

1. Helps lower electricity cost. With the window tint’s ability to reject up to 70% of the heat that comes through the window, cost on consumption of air-conditioning systems become significantly lower than those homes with no window tints at all.

2. More privacy and security. In the same manner when you hardly see who’s inside a car with tinted windows, window-tinted homes also provide the same privacy needed by home owners who don’t need to worry about nosy neighbors peeking through the window.

3. Protection from UV. UV rays tend to make fading faster in house paint, artwork, furniture, curtains, carpets, wood floors and other furnishings in the house. With tinted windows that block off the UV rays, all your precious belongings stay as good as new and as vibrant from the day it set foot in your house.

4. Cost-effective. No need to buy expensive energy-saving gadgets that claim to lower electricity costs and only do one function. Having tinted windows in your homes mean having a lot of lasting benefits that don’t even break the bank.

For further information on Solar Control Films or any other window films, such as security films, safety films, decorative films, privacy films, or graffiti films, please contact Pentagon Protection PLC. We are the UK’s leading authority on window film!

One thing is for sure, we live in a country of violence and it’s not going to get any better. From the IRA attacks, to attacks by Islamic groups, one way to protect your home, business, or commercial building in the event of an attack is to have security films (bomb blast films) installed, along with an attachment system, to help protect from flying shards of glass.

Here is a timeline of some of the worst bomb attacks on mainland Britain by Irish dissident groups in the last 35 years:

February 1974 - Coach carrying soldiers and families in northern England is bombed by the Irish Republican Army (IRA). Twelve people killed, 14 hurt.

Having decorative window film installed is one of the easiest and most unique ways to give your windows a makeover and has a variety of styles to choose from. Decorative window films offer privacy without compromising a room’s décor as well as offering an element of privacy and energy efficiency.

Decorative window films can give you that etched glass or frosted glass effect without the high cost of replacing windows for the real thing.

Decorative window film is also an environmentally friendly choice for window treatments. The natural lighting that is allowed entrance to a room through the decorative film helps increase the room’s brightness without the need for additional lighting. Decorative window film filters UV rays and minimizes the heat that can become trapped in a room during warm weather. By insulating windows using a decorative film, energy bills are reduced.

Decorative window film is also an excellent choice for those who would like privacy, but still enjoy the refreshing feel of natural sunlight in a room. From the outside, all passersby see is the beautiful design featured on the film. At the same time, however, sunlight is allowed to pass through the film and fill the room. There is no glare to be concerned about and, even at nighttime as indoor lighting is used to illuminate a room, outsiders cannot see in. It offers full privacy during the day and night, all while offering freedom from additional blinds or draperies.

As it is not affected by humidity, steam or moisture, decorative window film is an excellent choice for windows all throughout the house, even in bathrooms. In fact, some designs are perfect for shower enclosures and can be used to help redecorate a bathroom in a flash. Though window film is a great decorating choice for small or large spaces, it is especially good for smaller spaces as curtains and blinds can make a room feel smaller, while decorating with window film has the exact opposite effect.

Those who have used decorative window film are deeply impressed with the concept of updating a room with such a simple design tool. With varying colors, styles and design choices, wallpaper intended for windows is a designer’s, as well as a home owners dream.
